About my puzzle boxes / rules / tips for solving

  • I do not include rules for solving for each puzzle box. Overall guidelines are to work within what the construction of the puzzle boxes tell you. If there looks to be small delicate parts, then you likely should not hit the box. If it is a larger box with feet/pads, then it is meant to be solved in place on a table top and should not be tipped or turned upside down. No external tools should ever be used. Do not use excessive force to open panels, doors and/or drawers.

Levels of Difficulty for Puzzle Boxes (how I rate my boxes)

  • Very Easy – Can be opened very easily with little effort or by accident.
  • Easy – Opens fairly easy and contains a few steps.
  • Moderate – Takes several steps to open, some steps may not be immediately obvious.
  • Hard – Multiple steps and problem solving required. Possibly using found tools / objects.
  • Very Hard - TBD

Return Policy

  • For puzzle boxes, due to the puzzle nature and solving of items, they cannot be returned outside of a major shipping issue where the product has been damaged during shipping and a claim needs to be filed with the shipping vendor.

Maintenance

  • If you run into issues with a product and or require maintenance please reach out using the contact us form and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Commission Work

  • I am not doing any commission projects at this time but please feel free to reach out to me and let me know what you are interested in and I can reach out in the future if/when I begin taking commissioned work.

Shipping Policy

  • Order processing times are separate from the shipping times seen at checkout.
  • All orders are processed within 5 days after receiving your order confirmation email. You will receive another notification when your order has shipped. 
  • Any delay, damage, or failure to deliver is the responsibility of the carrier. I will work with you and assist with delivery problems.
  • Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout.

Special Notes Regarding International Shipping (in addition to notes above)

  • Black Maple workshop is not responsible for damages, delays, costs, fees, taxes or any other international customs agencies' actions.
  • Your order may be subject to import duties and taxes (including VAT), which are incurred once a shipment reaches your destination country.  Black Maple Workshop, LLC is not responsible for these charges if they are applied and are your responsibility as the customer.
